I'm here because I invented the blue sky. The overheated ozone-depleted sky, though, that's all you.

Hello. I was raised in a death cult.

These people are in a death cult.

This is really good news.
Ozone Hole Continues Healing in 2024
The area of depleted ozone over the Antarctic ranked the seventh smallest since recovery began in 1992.

Good thing there wasn’t a corrupt Big Ozone able to prevent this recovery from happening, or a corrupt president in the pocket of Big Ozone pretending the problem wasn’t real.
NASA, NOAA Rank 2025 Ozone Hole as 5th Smallest Since 1992 - NASA Science
The ozone hole over the Antarctic was small in 2025 compared to previous years and remains on track to recover later this century. The hole this year was the fifth smallest since 1992, the year a land...

Trump: 'The ozone layer. Remember President Obama used to talk about the ozone layer and then he'd fly to Hawaii to play a round of golf."

maybe no one person should have enough money to destroy the ozone layer
so in addition to causing significant light pollution that harms astronomical research, the sheer volume of starlink low earth orbit satellites constantly burning up on re-entry could prevent the ozone layer from healing, scientists warn:
Elon Musk's Starlink satellites could burn up the ozone layer, scientists warn
A new study warned that internet satellites like Starlink's could send damaging chemicals into the ozone layer when they burn up on reentry.

Anyone interested in running their own Labeling service can check out Ozone, our open-source moderation tool. At this stage, Ozone is for highly technical users as it requires operating your own server.

Half of Europe's population was exposed to poor or worse ground-level ozone levels so far in 2026, as successive summer heatwaves drove up concentrations, according to new @CopernicusECMWF analysis.

The official explanation they’re apparently going with here is that they aren’t 100% convinced that breathing soot and ozone is actually bad for you.

Before it's taken offline, I want you to know about the NASA website where you can learn about the stratospheric ozone hole and check on how it's doing. It has cool movies like this one, showing the growth of the ozone hole during the Austral spring last year.

It's like "look--the ozone hole's doing fine, so why was there all that worry" (the ozone hole recovered BECAUSE of policy intervention, i.e. the 1987 Montreal Protocol to ban ozone-depleting chemicals, which Ronald Reagan supported).
It's a mendacious fallacy that targets the logically challenged.
The scenarios aren't predictions, so they're not "right" or "wrong". They are possible futures depending on our actions. The good news is that emissions are now tracking below older "business-as-usual" pathways because of climate policy in spite of Trump: thebulletin.org/premium/2025...

June 17, 21XX—I notice a faint metallic tang layered over my body's normal odor. At first I think it might be spilt cooling fluid, but it is more akin to the scent of sun-warmed metal. Perhaps one of my bones is overheating again.
