This Scarce Silver-lines was a nice surprise last night. Stunning moth! Other than that, it was a bit disappointing. I did have 4 Oedemera femoralis on the walls of the house. I've definitely not seen that many together before, anywhere.

Methinks what you have here is Oedemera nobilis, the Swollen-thighed beetle, the Thick-legged flower beetle, the False Oil Beetle. An onomastic plethora.

W ALT detale.
A close-up shot of a small, metallic greyish-green beetle (Oedemera species) feeding on the pollen of a bright yellow buttercup flower. The insect has long antennae and a slender body, contrasted against the vivid yellow petals and a blurred green background. A vibrant purple-pink wild orchid, likely a Dactylorhiza species, in full bloom. The dense, conical flower spike stands upright, surrounded by long green leaves and blurred meadow grass in the background under natural sunlight. A close-up shot of two common milkwort (Polygala vulgaris) wildflowers growing outdoors. The plants feature vibrant violet-purple flowers with unique wing-like petals and small, narrow green leaves on slender stems, set against a rustic background of dry grass and stones. A detailed macro shot from above of a fuzzy bumblebee (Bombus terrestris) collecting nectar from a cluster of small pink spirea flowers. The bee features a black and yellow striped body with a white tail, translucent wings, and noticeable pollen baskets full of greyish pollen attached to its hind legs.

Swollen-thighed Beetle (Oedemera nobilis), also known as the Thick-legged Flower Beetle. Both names which unfairly objectify what I'm sure is a very intelligent beetle with lots of interesting opinions of its own #ukwildlife
