I mean you still need those ombos and stuff to build your meter for a level 3, you can't exactly just do poke-dr-poke-lv3 every round, but I do think DR should heavily fuck super scaling so combos that utilize it aren't as optimal

This is my attempt at writing a Setian Creation myth that someone living in the ancient city of Nubt (Ombos or Naqada) might have believed. However, this is not intended to be lauded as dogma or some "revealed scripture"; it is just a creative exercise and thought experiment.

These different takes on the origin of our cosmos were not considered to be mutually exclusive, either.

I wash my hands, I appear as Horus, I wash my face, I am exalted in Ombos, I bathe in the pools of Hetep; I have wiped my face with what belongs to him who is at the side of Re; see, I have appeared as Horus who issued from Gold. (CTF2)

Road to Ombos

Sand swallowed the ruins of Ombos.
Torches flared against fallen stone.
They knelt, ragged voices breaking the silence—
“Set has returned.”
I stood crimson in the dust, their fear and joy twisting as one.
They saw revival.
I saw only the shadow of a god long buried.
