Attn #ottwalk #ottroll #ottbike! QED MUP closure at Patterson Creek. Sidewalk closed signs, no detour while the QED is open to cars (instead of active transpo), followed by smallest allowance to not get run over on the bridge. If you're mobility impaired there's nowhere to go and no way around.

They said it couldn't be done, but somehow Ottcity managed to make the #ottbike / #ottwalk Trillium MUP crossing at Preston & PoW even worse. People in front not sure when to go or if it's safe, left turning drivers not looking for bikes crossing (out of frame someone almost turned into me). #autowa

East bound bike lane and sidewalks on Scott, at Winona, and again at Clifton, construction has both corners blocked off completely.
No detours for people, natch.

They even blocked the lane on the east side, assuming people won't get off the street immediately? 🙄
Sidewalk and bike lane completely blocked by construction, with no detour for people set up. Because Autowa doesn't do stuff like that.

As far as I understand it, dump truck traffic is crossing a bike lane and 3 sidewalks on the way in and out of Lansdowne. Yellow in my first image is incoming from the 417. Outgoing in red and through Old Ottawa South not sure how far??? Someone is going to get injured/die #ottWalk #ottRoll #ottBike

Where dump trucks, 20 an hour, are going to be turning here both ways from Bank and to Bank. Little hidden entrance to Lansdowne where dump trucks are going to be crossing pedestrian traffic going in and out.

I already knew to hate when utilities are installed in the middle of the sidewalk, but I didn’t realize the consequences for winter accessibility—i.e., since plows can’t make it through, they plow these spots poorly. All to maximize space for #Autowa. #OttWalk #OttRoll

Is it just me, or are sidewalks in #OttCity urban areas being widened during renewals?

Shots are Breezehill and MacLaren. Obviously happy if they’re wider, although still inadequate. Also, ramps to driveways still rob much of this space (third shot). #OttWalk #OttRoll

I’m sure others have asked them but I just sent an email to @en.ottawa.ca asking why the Open Portal data for collisions hasn’t been updated since 2022. A lot of CARnage has happened since then. How can we give suggestions/feedback on plans without data? How can we verify #Vision20PercentLess?
Part of the City of Ottawa Road Safety Action Plan aims to reduce fatalities and injuries by a whole 20%.

It's great to see local residents fighting back against this decision.

As we've said, accessibility and safety are more important than neighbourhood character.
