I’m not a fan of politicians trying to make people angry for votes by claiming there actually IS a “war on cars” (there isn’t — if anything there’s been a war on every OTHER way of getting around since the 1960s).

you actually kind of have to respect the whole "fentanyl border czar" thing. It sounds very American Task Force but actually doesn't mean anything. It's one person, the lowest possible investment, and basically we can just do whatever with that person. Trump's not going to check the receipts.

The revenue graphs project that it starts to make $ around 2050 but is dependent on sports team revenue until 2070 but team is only committed to be here until 2042; loses money until 2050; if team leaves, we’re on the hole until 2070; does that make any sense? Is that risk we’re willing to take? 3/

An rfp went out to sell air rights a while back. No idea if awarded; goal was to raise $30m if I recall. In ph1 they hoped to raise $10m and got no bidders; went out to industry and begged and got 1 bid at around $3m if I recall.

I (quickly) threw the city's road resurfacing dataset into an interactive webmap. This is the data that the city used for the 2025 Asset Management Plan.
The map shows all the roads that need to be resurfaced in the next 10 years, most are already overdue for resurfacing according to the city.
