Shaman King is SO good, and the way Takei draws Oversouls really makes me wanna see him design more full-on mecha, beyond even the X-Laws' Archangels, and what he served up in Karakuri Dôji Ultimo

The fact that the Lords got to be DTs unreals just confirmed my initial thoughts that Seiryu was the only fun one, while i liked all three weapons at least a little bit.
The story was mid but Oversouls are one of the hottest things in the game so it evens out.

I'm going to need to do a comparison to the great Discotek releases of Shaman King (2001) at some point. The trailer for the German KSM boxset 2 looks a bit messy with their upscale. KSM version screenshots below for reference. Volume 1 trailer didn't look too bad though!

Then there could be subtypes for each deity across various cultures, quite often a particular deity will be split up into multiple deities in a particular pantheon.
I think in this mental model that would leave one individual tracing themselves up to one particular chain of oversouls.
