The regulation of COX-2, ABCA1, and ABCG1 by the lncRNA PACERR links the inflammatory response and cholesterol homeostasis
Hennessy et al. identify PACERR as an lncRNA associated with regulation of inflammatory and cholesterol-responsive pathways. PACERR perturbation alters COX-2, ABCA1, and ABCG1 expression, affecting prostaglandin production and cholesterol efflux. These findings support a role for PACERR in coordinating immune and lipid homeostasis relevant to atherosclerosis.
