Was inevitable. Dublin has done so well as a consequence. The other mad thing is that it's left us vulnerable to vulture capitalist bereft of proper investment. So much was bought up by US private equity we now account for 30% of their overseas investments. Hence the vassal state we now are.

Today I learned that Philz Coffee, beloved local chain, has been sold to an investment firm and the stores have been ordered to take down all Pride flags.

I hope the chain goes bankrupt and every person at the vulture capitalist firm knows nothing but insomnia for the rest of their miserable lives.
