A funny thing about this is that private schools don't pay rates. It would be costing the local Council money for the school to be there (even before the costs of the street chaos stuff.)

I don’t know how many times I have to say thos: the public subsidy of private supply is always inflationary unless you cap the fees the private supplier can charge. Otherwise they pocket the subsidy & charge what the market will bear. See private schools. www.smh.com.au/politics/fed...
