$2.2 million is an outrageous sum of money for one public servant to earn. What's more, 17 people in the Future Fund are now on more than a million - only one woman among them. Australians who can barely afford groceries right now, will share my outrage. tinyurl.com/mak89juh

Never forget this: The forces rigging our economy, undermining our democracy, polluting our planet, and stoking hatred are counting on you to give up. Cynicism is how they win.

Don't give in. Instead, get out the vote. ⬇️

Not surprising at this points, but still shocking. The richest 0,1% emits as much as the poorest 44% of the worlds population.

Today we publish the annual inequality report from Oxfam with fresh analyses of the state of global climate inequality.

This inequality takes many other forms too - for instance the notorious World Rugby coaching guidance that painted women rugby players as overly emotional and in need of coddling and patronising coaching approaches.

Male dominated infrastructure tends to dominate & regulate women's access to sport

When governments that dishonestly brand themselves progressive betray that premise by magnifying inequality & corporate power, they make the escalation of fascist movements inevitable.

This is just as true of Carney as it is of Eby.

An immediate reaction is to say the Albanese government has learned nothing from #robodebt.

But perhaps they have learned only too well how to punch down on welfare recipients with onerous, cruel and illegal conditions. #poverty #inequality #RaiseTheRate #auspol
Why does the government insist on trying to recover blood from a stone?

If they want to aggressively recover so-called debts from people who've relied on Centrelink payments, they should at least wait until they can actually afford to live.

It also could be the increase in inequality. But statistically the cumulative number of James Bond films & the population of Iceland are both even more compelling explanations.

At a high frequency higher wealth inequality (aka stock market up) raises sentiment.

Why isn’t there a revolution in America?

According to two sociologists in their book “Normalizing Inequality”, it’s because we normalize inequality. There’s three patterns of behavior they found that prevents us from building community to create structural change.
