Thanks to @guardian’s George Monbiot for this considered commentary on plight of millions existing with ME/CFS/PVFS. Since Covid, many more now can see the devastating combination effect of virus-induced neurological problems plus society’s perceptions & protocols on how to remedy them.

I had ME/CFS/PVFS some 40 years ago, luckily (mainly) recovering spontaneously after a couple of years. The official reactions @georgemonbiot.bsky.social describes resonate - we should have moved on after 40 years, hopefully Long COVID research will help.

But I'm not sure on this...

🙄 Naja. Neurasthenie hat in ICD-11 keine eigene Kategorie mehr. F48.0 ist nun mit den somatoformen Störungen in 6C20 aufgegangen; dasselbe Kapitel, dieselbe Zuständigkeit.
Nur PVFS, ME und CFS sind dort ausdrücklich ausgeschlossen.
Die Klassifikation zieht die Trennlinie, die dieses Buch verweigert.
