This is dated news, but I think a repost is needed.
CBC's is making a Gigantopithecus docu called 'The Real King Kong'. The news release claimed that the docu's VFX will be made by 'Toronto-based GhostFX', but the still accompanying the article is likely AIGC.

Interlacing parts of a good paleontologist's educative talk with AIGC is one of the WORST acts of disrespect a content creator can possibly commit.
It would make someone new to the field feel as if the AI video is scientifically credible, which is NOT AT ALL TRUE.

WHERE NOW IS HOPE FOR MAJOR VFX-HEAVY PALEO DOCUS?
Surviving Earth's depiction of the Permian Extinction. SE and the VFX artists/paleoartists who made it are not involved in (and most likely against) AI, but Tim Haines is now pro-AI. The death of the last T. rex as depicted by The Dinosaurs. AIGC and AI worshippers like Nick Shoolingin-Jordan (the director of The Dinosaurs) now form a devastating force which is killing the paleo docu world like an asteroid. Now that companies like Giant Screen Films are turning to AIGC, work opportunities for VFX artists (like those from Mathematic Studio who worked on 'T.rex') will become even more scarce.
