So umm I guess new body reveal??
For those that do not know, I had a FDL Panniculectomy and they removed 7.5 lbs of skin and fat from my belly! I’ve lost 216lbs and I’ve fought hard for this. I’m super proud of myself.

(Some insurances cover the panniculectomy esp if you got a gastric bypass. And if you have a creative plastic surgeon some can get the thighs done too. Arms are a lot harder to prove necessary)

Good luck with the panniculectomy. That surgery was rough — make sure you have someone that can help you out for a few days after.

Hello from the finish line of a project that started in 8/22. Today, I had surgery for an abdominoplasty, panniculectomy and mons lift. My excess torso skin/overhang is gone.

But I’m having mixed feelings.

canada is also irritating only providing the cheapest options to keep you alive rather than thriving. one example would be weight loss surgeries where we continued only offering gastric bypass for years after sleeve became go-to. only panniculectomy is offered for loose skin, not abdominoplasty

I'm in the same boat after my panniculectomy last September. I don't feel like showing anyone. But I know from the hernia surgery I had 20 years ago it will get better over time.

I just want to feel 100% again. Y’all last time I had this kind of resolve I lost 210 lbs. My goals this time are to lose and keep off 60 lbs so I can have a panniculectomy and to quit drinking the way I drink and get back to healthy habits. I gotta do it. I’m not getting younger.

*watching YouTube videos on post op Panniculectomy shit*

Video: some people develop what they call 'dog ears' on their sides and some elect to have them removed.
The perverted man I am: why? Just looks like something extra to hold on to. 😁

I can ask. She got insurance to pay for the panniculectomy but paid for any aesthetic work herself (like lipo for shaping).

It will get better Larry. Also when the panniculectomy comes be prepared. Not going to lie it's tough but if I can get through it so can you.

Yeah I might MIGHT have to consider a panniculectomy one day if I end up losing enough weight there, because I do have a hanging apron belly and if the skin doesn't tighten and causes issues (infection, rubbing, etc) but I've heard that one is not so horrific to heal from
August 20, 2026 at 7:44 PM
That was a long time ago! It was mostly complications from my gastric bypass (late 2008) and then I had a panniculectomy and part of the incision got infected/turned necrotic(?).

Now I’ve got other stuff. Hahah. It was worth it. Still down over 300 from where I started.
