#PayCuts
The full quote is actually more stupid.

"It'll be the ultimate raise."

Bro, they're telling most people to take paycuts if they want to stay employed there. When the fuck do you think this raise is coming!?

The Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network (WAISN) laid off 14 workers today.

The org's cited financial hardships recently, yet it's leadership refuses to take paycuts.

There are now no hotline organizers or rapid response organizers.

WWE will try to rat fuck you if you work for them. It is a fact of life and why it makes it so flabbergasting people will take paycuts for them. If you have an equal offer anywhere else it is actually a better offer.
Since WWE's trying to exploit PAC's death, it's time to talk about this: Remember how PAC suddenly had visa issues when AEW started? That's because, when the AEW trademarks were filed, WWE called USCIS to claim he walked out on his visa. After leaving him alone for a year and giving him his release.

And now WWE cut out the grind almost completely to the point that they're using it as an excuse to force paycuts on the talent.

If Cricket Australia found themselves in the exact same situation (paycuts, cancelling comps, shortening contracts), would it also be completely ignored by the BBC, Sky Sports, the Cricketer, the Guardian, the Times and the Telegraph?

I was wondering why GUMSHOE of all people was crying, after all the paycuts he gets hit with by Edgeworth.

...Then I realised Edgeworth leaving would open up space for Franziska to replace him, and THAT's definitely worth crying over 😬

You're making a lot of assumptions about paycuts. And the Lyra stuff is only bad because of the post-SNME stuff, otherwise the heel turn and their big match were great. Which means tag team went somewhere. Do I hope she gets to do more singles? Sure, but it's a lot of recency bias.

I know. I was able to do some traveling, a few solo trips and some trips with my folks. Being a state employee, there were years we had to take paycuts due to budget issues. Some years Lansing had a music festival. I would take vacation that week. Bought the pass for the week and take a chair.

yuuuup. i believe there's also a law in Japan where CEOs have to take paycuts before even considering layoffs, which is what Iwata did during the Wii U era
September 20, 2026 at 1:24 AM
they wouldnt be handing out paycuts like candy, losing half their roster and sticking matches behind a paywall if they were still the biggest lmao

cant even afford to match top level salaries anymore i remember the absolute TANTRUM they threw over what swerve/ceo/kenny were getting paid 😭😭

The Vatican has published a papal decree repealing 2021 salary cuts that Pope Francis had imposed on many Vatican employees as part of the Holy See's COVID-19 cost-saving measures.

I've only ever seen Dragunov wrestle in NXT. I remember a couple of years ago they were very excited to bring him to a big time roster, but I'm looking at the current landscape and the downturn in sales overall, paycuts, popularity nosedive.
If he wants to work and he's impressive then bring him in
September 14, 2026 at 10:04 PM
I think that a guy like LA Knight, who is one of the rumored guys, might as well take it because Tony isn’t bringing him in and he’s still probably doing 6 figures but if Sami or Kevin took paycuts that’s insane

Well, that's another clothes company I won't be buying from again. I bet the CEO and shareholders didn't take any paycuts.

If Bayley extends her contract many people will feel little to no sympathy for her if she gets 'future endeavor-ed', her paycuts or treated like garbage by management.

Personally, I cannot imagine her being that insightless.
September 7, 2026 at 5:44 PM
I keep on saying this...

I don't believe she has signed an extension until the booking reflects it.

I cannot imagine someone being that insightless to sign an extension in good faith when they have been personally screwed (Wrestlemania 41) and paycuts and talent cuts have been the norm.

WWE has shown a track record of not honouring the contracts they agree to and asking people to take massive paycuts if they want to say, and they have done this to people who many assumed had jobs for life due to their long careers with the company and dedication to their jobs in that time.

As much as I miss many of the people who left AEW for WWE the discourse around people taking massive paycuts because they dream of working for WWE is way funnier than WWE inexplicably firing people that everyone wants to see in AEW.

Qantas pilots face pay cuts and working condition changes due to profit decline and fleet restructuring
Hundreds of Qantas pilots are set to experience significant salary reductions and deteriorating working conditions as the airline grapples with declining profits and an aging fleet. The cuts, estimated to affect around 300 staff, primarily target pilots operating the Airbus A380 superjumbo aircraft following its accelerated retirement. Pilots and former pilots interviewed by Crikey highlighted that the pay cuts will be accompanied by reduced benefits, including the loss of private toilets on long-haul flights—a perk previously reserved for senior crew. Under Qantas' 'reduction in numbers' policy, affected pilots will have priority for roles on newer aircraft, undermining promotion opportunities for others despite their seniority. The changes come amid broader challenges for the national carrier, including rising operational costs and the need to modernize its fleet. Industry experts warn that the move could exacerbate staffing shortages and fuel tensions between management and staff, potentially leading to strikes or mass resignations. The situation underscores the pressures facing airlines in balancing financial sustainability with crew welfare in an increasingly competitive market.

No one knows who took paycuts. It's no one's business but the people directly involved with the contract. Everything else is speculative.
September 1, 2026 at 8:45 PM
I cant see how anyone with choices would ever go to that company when they can just shred your contract or make you take such huge paycuts...you better get a huge signing bonus of youre going...
