It's tragic & funny that #ThamesValleyPolice & #PoliceFederation don't know how law or court system works. #PCHarper killers were guilty of manslaughter not murder so they got 13 years fixed sentence. So if Gov pass a law saying after X% of sentence prisoners are released they get out.

#PCHarper / PC Andrew Harper case is tragic. However #Police & #CPS didn't have evidence for murder. It's disingenuous for #Newsnight & other media to act like they were convicted of Murder. They were always getting out. At some point. They'll be on licence for 7 years & can be recalled

Debate in UK media about early Prisoner release is moronic. We can point at horrendous examples of Prisoners who'll get out. Like #PCHarper families case. I was burgled & I'd like who did it to get life with daily beatings. However we've no space in prison so what's the solution?

I agree they're nasty pieces of work & truly despicable people. I also suspect they knew #PCHarper was being dragged behind car. However with all that being said, they were only charged & convicted of manslaughter. They got 13 years even without early release they'll only do 8 years.
