The #FederalReserve's preferred #Inflation gauge, the #PersonalConsumptionExpenditures price index, rose to 4.1% in May from 3.8% in April. On a monthly basis it was unchanged at 0.4%. The so-called #CoreInflation rose at a much more muted annual rate of 3.4% from 3.3% in April.
