dems winning the senate on this map, under competitive authoritarianism, is a word-historic high bar

let's keep that in perspective
While you're waiting...it's never too early to start challenging emerging narratives downgrading a Dem win.
I also challenge this idea that if Dems win big, it'll be less a "blue wave" than just Republicans staying home. I note that D candidates are winning indys/driving voter enthusiasm (@gelliottmorris.com good on this too).

Charlie Cook engages on this at some length:

From a real world perspective, this is insane levels of personal spite and incredibly embarrassing.

From a hater/poster perspective, I'm kind of impressed.
As I report here ...
- Stevens told numerous high profile Dems last night she was voting for AES
- staff was literally waiting at the unity rally thinking she was about to arrive
- even key Dems who are similarly skeptical of AES are baffled and aghast

from a global perspective it's quite terrible to have OpenAI CEO Sam Altman existing
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman says having RAM in personal computers is a ‘terrible’ use of limited resources and that it would be better utilized in data centers

"From a global perspective it’s quite terrible to have everyone have a bunch of the world’s limited supply of DRAM sitting in their computer"

In my experience, a lot of journalists are still pretty unwilling to believe that companies (and politicians, and...) will just lie.

That’s a particularly bad perspective to hold when you’re covering the crypto sector.

My first impressions of Etherborn are: it's really cool! The game is a puzzle platformer where perspective is a major factor! Walking on the ramps in a level will change your perspective and what surfaces you're able to walk on! This adds a layer of complexity to the puzzles, it's fun so far!

Go offline. Please.

There are so many more people in real life who enjoy indie animation beyond those raised by the social media outrage and purity culture economy.

Seeing people at cons, having fun at panels or even talking to the actors respectfully about criticisms, puts it into perspective.
Why is hating Indie animation so much more popular than enjoying Indie animation? What's going on?
