PiDP-11 is a great throwback to the time when mini computers ruled. Building the kit was fun. Using BSD 2.11 UNiX like I did in the 80s, programming in Pascal and C on a dumb terminal. #retro #computing #pdp #pidp

I think it might be a PiDP-11/70, but definitely 😍. The original (PDP 11/44) was my 1st work machine in what seems a lifetime ago.

Modern computers are mostly pretty boring, so I'm tapping into the glory of the 1970s minicomputer. This is a PiDP-11, powered by a #RaspberryPi but running an accurate simulation of the PDP-11/70. It's currently running 2.11 #BSD

Having fun with my pdp11/70 (PiDP-11 kit) running 2.11BSD UNIX, connecting over RS232 with a Tandy 102 using its builtin VT52 TELCOM program. Getting this setup to work properly wasn’t a cakewalk, but hey, so it wasn’t easy using computers back in the 70s and 80s! #pdp #pidp #retro #computing
