I'm porting PicoGraph (alternative software for the PicoMEM that emulates CGA/EGA/VGA/Hercules/CL-GD5429 for use with USB DisplayLink devices) to the PicoMEM 2 board today. If you have one, you'll be able to use PicoGraph without soldering a Raspberry Pi Pico 2 to a PicoMEM 1 board.

I'm porting PicoGraph (alternative software for the PicoMEM that emulates CGA/EGA/VGA/Hercules/CL-GD5429 for use with USB DisplayLink devices) to the PicoMEM 2 board today. If you have one, you'll be able to use PicoGraph without soldering a Raspberry Pi Pico 2 to a PicoMEM 1 board.

First bring-up of a Raspberry Pi Pico-based ISA video card: FreddyV’s ISA PicoMEM board with a Pico 2 soldered on and new firmware running. Video is over USB for now through the DisplayLink/libdlo support I wrote for TinyUSB two years ago. Slow (USB 1.1), but it's alive & doing MDA + color decode.

First bring-up of a Raspberry Pi Pico-based ISA video card: FreddyV’s ISA PicoMEM board with a Pico 2 soldered on and new firmware running. Video is over USB for now through the DisplayLink/libdlo support I wrote for TinyUSB two years ago. Slow (USB 1.1), but it's alive & doing MDA + color decode.
I have EGA working now. The writes over (temporary) USB to the displaylink framebuffer slow it down, but the picomem design is great for the business logic even with the v1 mux.

First time I'm actually using the PicoMEM I bought at VCF Midwest last year. Worked on first boot! Really cool that you can create a hard drive image right in the interface.

This is a big deal! It opens up so many possibilities for many projects that were “stuck” on the Pico W and Pico 2 W modules (thinking specifically about @bluescsi.com, PicoMEM, etc.) and also the other way - PicoGUS 2.0 which doesn’t use a module is locked out of having WiFi.

So I somehow managed to break part of the bracket on the PicoMEM, so I printed a new one. First result, not great. Tweaked the temp by a couple degrees, increased the raft layers to 2, and well, much better!

So testing with the PicoMem and Headstart Explorer. Disk functionality and Sound work. Memory extensions do not. This is a big help to this machine considering it only has one ISA slot.
