It's not too often that a cycle route closure is welcomed, but in the case of the Coastal Mobility Route's extreme pinchpoint at Blackrock Dart station in Co Dublin, the ground investigation works are a sign that the council are nearing the point of building the upgrade of the route. The refusal to alter the curbing anywhere around this brick work at Westlake park makes biking and walking here so much more dangerous than it needs to be.

The bus driver who deliberately (with malice aforethought!) just overtook me at a pinchpoint on the Dublin quays with 6 inches between us, does not belong to a body which should have ANY weight in this discussion.
We firmly oppose this measure, as existing evidence indicates that such laws do not, in fact, protect people who cycle.
The union should be calling for better active transport infrastructure instead of deflecting responsibility to the most vulnerable people on the roads.

I always thought NHS GIC's had the whiff of prison about them. (Just my opinion but old rigid minded male psychs who spent too long in the job dealing with section cases and people in prison cells.)
Gatekeeping at airports and ports is very worrying. A pinchpoint for abuse at your most helpless.

It wasn't roses- there was a jerk officer who parked their SUV to create a pinchpoint near the waterfront- but mostly good. Once Naito opened back up (after the front of the march arrived back at the end!) drivers started to appear. I put out cones to force them to stop and turn around.

This is a really good point. Challenges in deploying energy technologies have traditionally constrained the speed of the transition, but getting better at integrating technologies in ways that improve system operation, particularly across vectors, is increasingly a pinchpoint.
This is a good piece, although hopefully an issue that will be resolved soon.
It highlights how much of the challenge of a net zero grid is about making the system work.
I suspect this - know-how to run a net zero system - is a bigger export opportunity for the UK than making turbines or batteries

Thinking about adjusting my timeline for my WIP. 3 chapters in 1 week. I'm gettin to the 1st pinchpoint before the midpoint, since I write barebones for the 1st draft then add more during editing.
Maybe I should shorten my timeframe for the draft & add time for each editing phase?
