Disinformation doesn’t just use social media.

It is amplified, monetized, and normalized by it.

The design is the problem.
Not just the content.

This is actually what brings me to write my first bsky post today -- Twitter has locked me out! Of my lab account and my personal account! Immediately following a DM about joining bsky. Ta-da! They've made the choice for me. #platformpolitics
This hasn't happened for me. I'm still able to share invite codes in Twitter DMs. However, if you want to be extra cautious, screenshot the code and send a picture instead.
Lol now if you try to send a bsky code in a DM Twitter will block it and make you do a captcha as punishment

Can't stop thinking about how Meta yanked the trans messenger theme like we wouldn't notice🙃. Let's call it what it is: a fascinating case study in how digital spaces commodify identity while simultaneously maintaining the power to revoke that commodification at will."

Your feed isn’t curated by “smart” algorithms—it’s engineered by internal policies. What you see isn’t relevance or connection, it’s paid marketing dressed as content, influencers, and user ads. Digital cattle, politely educated. #PlatformPolitics #DigitalCattle #FeedManipulation

Another week, another X change — this time, hashtag bans on ads and resized creatives.

It’s less about user experience and more about Elon rewriting the rules of public discourse, one bizarre UX decision at a time.

LinkedIn: no longer just for job hunts and humblebrags. It’s becoming a rare space where content, context, and community still matter. A quieter kind of platform power—maybe that’s what we need.

You can ban the app, but not the attention economy. Marketers know what Congress can’t admit: TikTok is where culture happens.
