Online critics: Stuff that's deliberately left ambiguous is not a plothole. Stuff that has been set up but not mentioned again yet is not a plothole. Characters acting against their best interests is not a plothole. Stuff you don't personally like is not a plothole. Please learn a new word.

Your lack of understanding does not make it a plothole. A plothole is something that goes against the internal logic of the show- not being told something that you can figure out on your own if you pay attention is good writing. Stop being lazy. Pay attention.

I'm doing copy-edits now (for two different books!) and whenever I get to one of those (sadly correct) notes that identifies a timeline issue or a plothole, I'm basically like
"Well, I guess I'll delete the book now and walk into the woods."
"Well, I guess I'll delete the book now and walk into the woods."
