Same. My kids & I are always saying "When the apocalypse comes, we'll be ready because..." You have to think ahead in this crazy world. I keep bugging them to get swimming lessons in case ALL the Polar Ice Shelves melt!! I can swim.

(compilation) - A collection of instrumentals, early versions and demos originally available as "The Lost In Yoyogi Tapes" with some sequence and content changes, as well as remastrering and a new song. A little more moody and "ambient" of a collection, but varies.

Chinese ship sets off for Europe through Arctic, halving travel time
A Chinese container vessel has set sail for Europe through the Arctic as part of a new weekly service on a route that cuts shipment times in half but that environmental groups warn could speed up the melting of polar ice.

The ‘Greenlandification’ of Antarctica

Antarctica’s outlet glaciers are retreating and surface melt seasons have lengthened which is contrary to what scientists predicted for this polar region which was stability.

Until we address, environmental issues, the polar ice caps are going to continue to melt contributing to a rising sea level, which is going to destroy the coastlines permanently. Corporations make the most pollution, not individuals they like to propagandize. Change that.

Another pearl of my wisdom found during my clearout

'The more trees we plant the longer we will survive when inundated by flood water when the polar ice caps melt, because we’ll be able to climb up them and starve to death in 2 weeks instead of drowning in 12 seconds…'

Climate denial is one of the keys to GOP identity, whether they're "Reagan Revolutionaries," "compassionate conservatives," "Tea Party Patriots," MAGA, or whatever name they latch onto when they realize they're wrong.
The convenient reality of ‘An Inconvenient Truth’
Al Gore was mostly right, as the above chart shows. The former U.S. vice president's documentary on climate change, "An Inconvenient Truth," came out in 2006. It detailed the climate disasters we see today: stronger hurricanes; heated areas leading to massive wildfires; and rising sea levels as polar icecaps melt, to name a few. Here's what Gore said this past July when reflecting on the documentary's 20th anniversary:

Not so, my friend. Not so.
The government's sitting on the fact that it's 10-20 years maximum.
It's getting hotter, don't you think?
Yeah, it's not even summer yet.
Yeah, and when the polar ice caps begin to melt...
it's not gonna take a certified genius to understand that we're in

Yeah, Steve Bannon likely intentionally mismanaged that project so that he could ensure it's failure. The project is at odds with fringe beliefs he holds due to being a Julius Evola acolyte. Namely he wants to melt the polar ice caps to see if the good of white people it's frozen in the North Pole

Global sea levels rose nearly 6 mm in a single year—the largest annual increase ever recorded—the UN Chief announced today. Accelerating polar melt & ocean expansion put 770M+ people in coastal lowlands at immediate risk.

Hydrology Paper of the Day @jdkirkham.bsky.social on why geoengineering for climate change is not a good idea for polar hydrological systems: changes to solar radiation, ice melt and ice thickness will not be effective, and ocean current engineering will adversely affect sensitive environments.

Why ride a motorcycle that is helping to melt the polar ice caps when you could have fun on one of these? Sure it doesn't have the range of ICE and it doesn't make noise, but isn't it worth it for the planet?

Earth lost more than 12 trillion tons of ice from Greenland and Antarctica in 47 years, satellites show
"The ice sheets are melting away fast," said study co-author Eric Rignot, an ice scientist at University of California, Irvine. "We are melting the polar regions, sea level is rising worldwide and will exacerbate the vulnerability of coastal regions." Huge numbers for ice melt, people flooded The numbers behind the melt are both mind-bogglingly huge and deceptively small. All that melted ice turned into nearly 3 quadrillion gallons of water (11.3 quadrillion liters), which pushed global sea levels up about an inch (3.1 centimeters) since 1979, on top of other climate factors raising ocean heights, the report said. WATCH: How melting glaciers contributed to the flooding disaster in the Himalayas An inch may not sound like much, but for every third of an inch (or centimeter) of sea level rise, another 2 to 3 million people get flooded at least once a year, said lead study author Ines Otosaka, an ice scientist at Northumbria University in England. The Jakobshavn glacier in Greenland is now retreating up to 164 feet (50 meters) a day, Otosaka said. The international collaboration of polar scientists, headed by the European Space Agency, had in the past only looked at ice sheet melt since the 1990s...
