These things should appeal to everyone with an interest in good governance and responsible use of taxpayers’ money. Add in their north star of fighting for everyday Portlanders, rejecting the big business lobby, and making sure everyone has a voice, it’s a head-scratcher the hate is so pervasive.

Old guard conservatives are trying to stop Portlanders from seeing progressive alternatives to Clark, Zimmerman, and Arnold
Allan Classen, the editor of the NW Examiner, has chosen to exclude us and @jameyevenstar.bsky.social from their Candidate Debate by saying we haven’t raised enough money. Our campaign has raised over $130k and we’ve remained steadily ahead of Eric Zimmerman in contributions. This is a bad look.

Your point is well taken. The contrast between the two & their approach to governance is indeed remarkable (& a bummer for Portlanders).
But, isn’t the city retaining ownership & in essence allowing USTA to capitalize the maintenance/upgrades needed & recoup its investment w some of the user fees?

When I was a tiny child in the early 80s, there was an anime I watched that my parents referred to as "Portlanders in Space" and I have no idea what it was actually called. But that was my first anime show.
BLERDS & NERDS!!!! I have a question. What’s the 1st anime you ever say? Not the one that gave you a love for anime, but what’s the first one you ever saw? For me it was Dragon Ball. I remember it being three or four in the morning, and it just started playing on the Sci-Fi channel.

Agreed. Just came back from NYC and I don’t think Portlanders truly understand how much easier it is travel around the region by car here, and/or find a parking spot in pretty much any neighborhood

It's been a generation since Portlanders pondered public power. Is it time to try again?
Mayor Wilson ran on helping the homeless & instead he's shut down so many homeless shelters that the ones left have had to turn people away every night because there's not enough room. He's a bad person & a terrible leader.
Portlanders: Schools and local workers should be city's first priority, not Moda Center renovations

🚗🔌 I also spotted this EV charger solution on my morning walk after getting coffee. One of my favorite things when I walk is seeing all of the many creative curbside EV charging solutions Portlanders have rigged up. EVs seem to encourage a fun DIY spirit & PDX has made stuff like this legal ☺️ #ev
