I believe the right has genuinely held principles and those principles are evil.
I’ve said before, many times, that basically every stripe of American politics believes that everyone else is just deluded or acting against their interest for some reason, instead of having genuinely held principles to the same degree as their own ones
Politics will continue until well after we’re all dead and dusted and the form of said politics will not be “leftmost quintile of the US electorate becomes one half of the duopoly with Matt Y being considered a figure in the problematic but acceptable right opponent” & people need to deal with that

What the fuck happened to our nation that was founded on high principles?

Those principles were subverted to stand for hate and intolerance.

The Reagan Foundation's entire purpose is to preserve Reagan's legacy and share his principles, but now they're backing up the current president who insists that "Ronald Reagan loved tariffs."

Great job defending Reagan's legacy and principles, guys.

Hey, was he a big fan of Russia too?

Sen. Bill Cassidy: "I will vote for Mr. Blanche. I'll be criticized for this vote — what's new?"

The lesson here is have good principles and stand on them. Stand for something that isn't power!

The law must always be grounded in fundamental principles such as equal rights and due process, or it becomes a tool of oppression.

I think I’ll watch some of the White House Correspondents Dinner just to see which journalists show up. You know, who has principles and values. #FreeSpeech #ImpeachTrump

Support for law enforcement and border control are not “foundational American principles.”
What counts as “anti-fascist” is incredibly broad: basically opposition to much of the MAGA worldview - “anti-capitalism and anti-Christianity”

Flags don't matter, what matters are the values and principles you hold as a nation. Flags change, values and principles should not. You don't need anymore symbols, you need actions.

The older I get, the more my politics mature from childish, naïve beliefs like "the world is complicated and leaders have to make hard decisions" to more serious, adult principles like "hurting people is bad and helping people is good."

He hates American values and principles. He hates democracy. He despises the Constitution and its constraints. He hates most Americans. All he desires is money, power and staying out of jail. Am I missing something?
