there’s honestly a bunch of different types of SaaS software. you’ve got plg dinkum b2b apps, prosumer services, value adds, etc. blanket statements are unhelpful.

This is before the iPhone existed. :) We used prosumer cameras digitally recording onto tape. The lawyers had no clue what to do with the video. Eventually, we handled all the video evidence, providing copies to arrestees as needed, with a chain of custody. Our work was always meticulous and honest.

I don’t like being the “well, actually” guy, but, about the 4K release of 28 Days Later: yes, it was shot on low-res prosumer video, but remember that it was printed 35 mm for exhibition. So there is additional information to be presented/preserved. Printing video to film creates a unique texture.
