He obviously didn't have some of Guts' characterization figured out early on. Guts seems way less "ptsd" haunted in the "prolepsis." He mastered Puck's cute body early on though. Based etc

Gungrave reminded me of Berserk's "Flashforward" "Prolepsis" or "In Medias Res," so I checked out how that went in the manga (tbh I skipped the early chapters, I think I started to read around the chapters Griffith started to 'break bad')

Prolepsis is where events that happen after the narrative are mentioned within the narrative. Using the Hamilton example above, the narrative ends with Hamilton’s death in 1804, but the $10 bill first had Hamilton in 1928 (Eliza’s story at the end is prolepsis, but less effective as it is epilogue)

Jag lärde mig också att det tekniska greppet att börja med att berätta vad som kommer hända och sen berätta VEM det händer (som även Garcia Marquez gör i Chronicle of a death foretold) kallas Prolepsis. Låter som en sjukdom.
