#PsychAD
Remarkable collection of papers out today from PsychAD, a consortium studying biological mechanisms in dementias & serious mental illnesses. They created a single-cell brain atlas of 6.3 million nuclei from ~1,500 donors. Datasets, analysis tools & resources freely available to research community.🧪👇

🧪Today, the PsychAD Consortium published EIGHT papers across Nature journals detailing their efforts to create the largest map of the human prefrontal cortex. It's hard to overstate the amount of work here, nor the absolute treasure trove this team has created for researchers.
Landmark map of human brain’s gene activity holds clues to Alzheimer’s disease and more
The atlas of gene expression in the prefrontal cortex was created using samples from almost 1,500 donors of all ages — from infants to centenarians.

Leading the #PsychAD flagship and its eight companion papers has been the privilege of my career, and seeing it on the cover of @nature.com today is surreal.

Huge thanks to the brain donors and their families, our amazing team, and every collaborator who made this possible.
