Because it uses cmake? So you’d just list the files you want to compile in your cmakelists.txt
If you’re trying to avoid cmake then CLion isn’t the right tool for you honestly.
But otherwise it’s a very good ide.
You could try QtCreator possibly.

Cool. Coming from many years of Eclipse (Java and later C++/Cascades) started use of QtCreator (C++/QML) in 2016 and immediately missed the tabs. Thx.
