i recorded myself dancing a little while back so I could test quickmagic. i think the results came out pretty good, i was surprised at how accurate and smooth the animation came out! o:

just got a new video of the mocap pipeline in my opengl engine. using iphone video, quickmagic, cascadeur, and livelinkface. took nearly 2 weeks just to get a short loop. need a bit more time learning the tools, but technically seems to work.

Quickmagic definitely my favorite, the web UI was nice and the results look really great. Move One has great results, but the UI is pretty lacking. Rokoko's UI looked fine but the results are clearly the worst of the three..

FINALLY got the character animation to a point I'm happy with!! Using #LiveLinkFace and Blender 5.0 to pre-render this in #EEVEE. Body mocap done with QuickMagic and cleaned-up in Cascadeur. Still need a bit more time with the tools (and to get this into #OpenGL real-time) but it's almost there.

Hmm I just learned about this thing called QuickMagic AI and it looks real sketch to me. Anything being powered by AI stuff sorta puts me on edge. It basically can take any video and collect the motion data for you. Just seems cheesy to me, now I gotta avoid vmds that use it 😫
