#AfternoonDubloons! I have decided to take a gander at this #QuickShot Maverick to check the #C64U 2-Button capability. The other Maverick was a micro-switch one and dubiously "down" was not clicking, so, we shall come to that later. This one. Grimy. No micro-switches. Now clean. Still no clicking.

One thing I would say is don't bother with the official gamepad. It's well made like the Quickshot but doesn't feel that precise. I managed to get a Dualshock 4 working on the Spectrum (with the Sony wireless dongle) but a vintage joystick just feels nicer.

I can remember my first microswitch joystick, the Cruiser. I remember hating it and swapping it for a microswitched Quickshot (I think, it certainly had the form factor).

I went through three 125s with my Amiga 500. No Daley Thompson or Winter Olympics.
The strongest thing about them were the suckers, which could have pulled the armour off a tank.
The Quickshot equivalent was £6 more and was still working when said Amiga was retired to the loft.
