Happy to report that I had zero #QuiltConReject. But also zero acceptances. For I made zero submissions for QuiltCon.

The #quiltconreject hashtag on Instagram is amazing. Oh my gosh.

In 2023 I designed, pieced, and quilted these! They were all Quiltcon rejects in 2024! I sell the FPP pattern for Electric Pop (the one that has stars in it) on dazzlingquiltz.com These 45x45 quilts are samples and available for sale. Message me if interested.

#QuiltCon reject notices have gone out. I entered the back side of my Swanky Spirals quilt so I’m not surprised it didn’t get in. But it was fun to play!!

I'm happy to tell you guys that my Aperitif quilt will be hanging at #quiltcon2025! This is a quilt that was a #quiltconreject last year, but was accepted this year.

This quilt pattern is available for free on my website AND I have a tutorial about the big stitch hand quilting method.

It’s time for another #quiltconreject parade! I’m proud of all three of these quilts, and I will continue to make what I 💗

To everyone else joining the QuiltCon rejects remember that no one gets to define you as a quilter. Just keep making the quilts that sing to you!

Reflecting on the #quiltconreject posts I see on Instagram. It seems that there’s a category of quilts that clearly don’t fit into any of the other major quilt shows, but because of recent acceptances to QuiltCon, that is the closest option, even if it’s still not the right place.

I wonder if it’s related to how “social media savvy” most QuiltCon hopefuls are? I do see the occasional Not Invited notice for other shows, but more as a by the way than the QuiltConReject club
