This reminds me of how the RPGnet forums used to have a "no personal attacks" rule which meant you couldn't say things like "you're a stupid fucking moron," and so what people would so is say "this opinion of yours seems like the sort of thing only a stupid fucking moron could believe"

When I started in academia, there are certain things I never thought I'd say to postgraduate students. Foremost amongst these is "Why yes, RPGNet posts from 1997 to 1999 are a totally relevant source for your project!" How things change.
