It's possible that these rumors are true and Naomi is right that we should consider the possibility, but there's a litany of other possible reasons these rumors are leaking-- sparking terror, negotiating from a place of power, making JD Vance look better in two years for pushing back, you name it
Terrifying rumors are swirling about Israel pressuring Trump to launch a nuclear strike on Iran immediately after the midterms or some other major escalation. I wish I was sure that this was too unhinged to take seriously, but we do not live in sane times where these kinds of dismissals are possible

Politico reporting that AOC called Stevens about rumors of her possible defection, which may also be the phone call referenced here. I think AOC's hair looks nice, but Stevens's decision has had serious ramifications for everyone.

If today is like most elections, we'll have lots of rumors about problems with voting: broken machines, scary people at polling places, etc.
The vast majority of the time, these turn out to be rumors & nothing else.
But they STILL DISSUADE PEOPLE FROM VOTING.
Don't amplify them!
