As I've taken to saying, any system that makes voters become dime-store game theorists is bad. Ranked choice voting eliminates that. Top-two exacerbates it.
Bob from California here. Don't do it Massachusetts! Because of this, I have to start being strategic in my primary vote and it sucks majorly. Either go for ranked choice or don't. The half measure "jungle primary" is worse than the old school party primaries. Please, trust me on this.
