I agree - almost all of the work is old style verification work, the AI described sounds like facial recognition/comparison tool - eg Rekognition or PimEyes or open source equivalent - as an additional layer of evidencing

As if that wasn't enough, Bezos also pitched ICE and federal law enforcement to employ their facial recognition tool Rekognition, despite the software having wrongfully criminalized Black and brown people in testing.

What software did you use? I tried AWS Rekognition, Facenet512, VGG-Face, and ArcFace. All of them agreed the 2 faces don't match.
