#ResearchInAction: Researchers from McGill University are using the CLS to study #enzymes that let #bacteria destroy #itaconate, a small molecule our immune cells make when fighting bacteria. The team's findings could be used to design drugs that block those enzymes. https://bit.ly/4p5UBqq

Huge congrats to our Director, Dr. Aaron Lyon, for winning the Outstanding Slam Presentation Award at #SIRC2026 for
his talk: "Is it CAKE?!?” The allure and absurdity of distinguishing between interventions and implementation strategies. 🎉🏆

The Grocery Store Access Act (AB 1857) is headed to Governor Newsom's desk. The bill bans restrictive covenants that prevent a future grocery store from opening when one has closed. Great to see UC food systems research translate into policy action!

Honoured to present at CSFS’ Strength in Solidarity event, sharing how my MSc research is helping inform programs & services. Creating space for First Nations men to share their voices is essential to building programs with communities, not just for them 🧡 #IndigenousResearch #ResearchInAction
