The 52% increase in the cost of heating oil in Ireland in the last 2 days (up from €495 to €760 for 500 litres) while crude oil is up only 3%, shows the absolute need for an economic regulator in Ireland.

You'd be forgiven for thinking there wasn't, as they have just approved yet another increase in Electricity tariffs despite the fact Ireland already pays the highest rates in Europe.
