Labor condemned Robodebt. Why is it repeating the mistakes in aged care?

The Ombudsman has found serious failures in automated aged-care assessments. Labor promised to learn from Robodebt, yet human judgement remains sidelined when decisions affect older Australians' care.

So Robodebt was a test run to see if anything happened to stop them and the answer was basically "nup, carry on".

Albanese put into place a dud #NACC that ensured Robodebt RC recommendations didn’t see the light of day.

Now he’s using the same tactic.

"Robodebt’s lasting lesson is that automated decisions affecting people’s lives must remain lawful, transparent, contestable and subject to meaningful human responsibility."

But with #agedcare and welfare, Labor has learned the wrong lessons. #auspol

'Why don’t you just say this is about saving money?' State officials briefed on controversial NDIS budget algorithm are not happy as it seeks to copy and catastrophic aged care tool which the ombudsman just thoroughly trashed in a report. www.thesaturdaypaper.com.au/news/health/...
Exclusive: Confidential briefing reveals NDIS ‘copy and paste’
A briefing to state bureaucrats shows the new NDIS needs assessment tool will be almost identical to the dangerously flawed aged-care tool criticised by the Commonwealth ombudsman this week.

Social cohesion isn't possible with government run poverty ,nor is it possible when a tiny minority. .03% are influential over the majority who abhore israel , hardly social cohesion when dozens of companies pay no tax year in year out,no social cohesion when ROBODEBT terrorised welfare recipients

The lesson Labor took from Robodebt was to be sneakier and nastier

Indeed ->> "The Commonwealth Ombudsman’s investigation into automated aged-care assessments poses an uncomfortable question for the Albanese government:💥 what was the point of the Robodebt Royal Commission if its lessons could be so readily disregarded?💥"

So far I've identified roughly $7k of economic loss in my robodebt claim but I don't imagine I'll see that much since it's a limited pool

Robodebt was supposed to be a warning, not a fucking blueprint. Algorithms determine aged care funding, a similar system is planned for the NDIS, & Centrelink is resurrecting debts calculated using methods later ruled unlawful. Different victims, same arrogance, not a fucking lesson learnt!

Put it in the never to be seen again filing cabinet at NACC, with the Sealed Robodebt report

The people responsible for Robodebt never went to Prison......They got off Scott Free

Robodebt 1.0 revealed what went wrong. So, adjustments have been made and now we have Robodebt 2.0. A mistake is never a failure - it simply reveals a better way to achieve an outcome. 🤬

Citizens are expected to be civil and protest quietly, while government policies kill those Citizens. Think Robodebt, not one person jailed for 2037 deaths, Citizens dying being ramped at hospitals and dying waiting for aged care places, being beaten by police for a genocidal Zionist, homelessness

Albo's promise was a commission that would be transparent and would pursue corruption at all levels of Govt. Then NACC declined to pursue any Robodebt charges and made the decision against holding public hearings for major referrals. Then Brereton left after adverse conflicts of interest findings.

And now you see why NO ONE was ever held to account for RoboDebt. It was not an aberration - it is the mechanism of KPMG/PwC/EY to destroy social welfare and concentrate wealth.
Labor fully onboard with that.

There was nothing new to learn before #robodebt and after. Its been well established and documented for years that using algos to make automated professional and management decisions is a breach of basic automation adoption ethics, results on a high risk very harmful bias, fraud, malpractice #auspol
