Well that was a fascinating short article and podcast on the history of the Welsh language.
My grandad was from Cardiff - and Welsh always felt ancient and magical to me, so I loved this. The podcast starts with a great bit about some ancient Welsh laws that were written down at the time!

As we i say in Cymraeg... "Gwell Ffrangeg slac na Saesneg slic"... Better crap French than perfect English.
My aim as always on holiday is to speak as little English as possible, so far I have conducted all my business in French. Englishman on next table "croissant please"... The level of effort is off the scale...
