Strange that they don't find it difficult to kill schoolchildren #Minab or seamen in the #Caribbean.

Hegseth lit the middle east on fire when Hegseth thought he could bomb Iran for a few weeks and get Iran to unconditionally surrender.

Hegseth's blunder has caused the world energy markets to explode in costs.

Hegseth kept an aircraft carrier at sea for over 200 days and seamen started jumping off

Very nice!

Given that you discuss laws concerning black sailors, have you read “Black Jacks: African American Seamen in the Age of Sail” by Jeffrey Bolster? I read it recently and found it very illuminating on the interaction btw slavery and black sailors.

The first time I heard of the expulsion of hundreds of Chinese Seamen from Liverpool following WW2, I knew I wanted to write about it. My novel Shanghai’d will be published by Northodox Press this week, it is a story that spans generations and continents as we follow families who to this day search for loved ones and the truth. Under The Bridge, Across The Water and Before The Storm, the three books that make up the Liverpool Mystery series, follow a migrant from Ireland travelling to Liverpool following WW2. My father made that trip; the books were not about my family, but families like mine.

I swallowed more seamen than The Bermuda Triangle.

I think this visual representation and explanation of the crew is brilliant: 445 men, from admiral and senior officers (top right) through the various mariners and the two companies of marines (at the bottom), each of 150

Blimey, I'm glad I used the word 'legend' in my search. You'll be on a register of dodgy seamen. Or two registers if the person struggles with spelling.

I also think I just woke my neighbour up with my laughing! Was Mary Mapes Dodge in a band?

seamen. that is all.

bc i generally don't read or care for organized crime fiction, this is how i've been keeping their made-up jobs straight:
boss > captain > flint
consigliere > quartermaster > silver
underboss > master / bosun > de groot
caporegime > first mate > gates / billy
soldiers > mate
associates > able seamen

They should be doing entire seasons of seamen who got DUIs or failed to fill out logbooks

Him, haply slumbering on the
Norway foam,
The pilot of some small
night-foundered skiff,
Deeming some island, oft, as
seamen tell,
With fixed anchor in his scaly
rind,
Moors by his side under the
lee, while night
