it feels in some way like i've read this story a million times. because it is how almost every specops mission fails.
This story is WILD. Trump sent Seal Team 6 into North Korea to plant a listening device. The entire thing went sideways within minutes of landing when they noticed a fishing boat near the beach. They killed everyone on board, sunk the bodies to cover their tracks, and fled. Congress was never told.

Mr. Hayes has fallen victim to Hollywood. Military comms rely on brevity codes, standardized reports (like SALUTE, SITREP), and ROE-based terminology—not slang, esp in SpecOps. Things move fast, can get confusing quick, language is clinical to avoid confusion or misinterpretation. We never used 86.

These guys are too fucking stupid to understand the scale of actual warfare so they reduce it to "lethality" and "warrior ethos" and think it's SpecOps guys doing CQB and door breaching, rather than FPV drones, artillery bombardments, and mass casualties. Idiots.

Other people have said this much more eloquently than me, but your average active-duty US servicemember is a reasonably ambitious young adult who couldn't afford to go to college, not a hardened SpecOps psycho who's been itching for an excuse to gun down the libs.
And even so, there isn't that much regional disparity. How many soldiers from the PNW are going to seriously enforce martial law in LA? From the NE?
