#SSNS
It's not like these SSNs were fraudulently obtained. These are legally assigned SSNs, identical to the ones that US citizens have. If they can cancel immigrants' SSNs, there's nothing stopping them from canceling citizens' SSNs.

It is entirely feasible for them to cancel political dissidents SSNs.

looking forward to the next discord update where you can just @ your friends by their SSNs

🔥The notion of people allegedly receiving Social Security & 100+ years old comes from ABANDONED Social Security Numbers, NOT actual beneficiaries. Prior to 1972 people could easily change SSNs & former SSNs were NEVER linked to death records. Abandoned numbers DON'T reflect fraud or active payments.

SSNs have to be useless as a security tool by now

BREAKING: @democracydefendersfund.org & partners intervened in Oklahoma to STOP DOJ from accessing confidential voter data

We oppose DOJ's unlawful attempt to grab voters’ SSNs, DOBs, addresses & more

next section is about getting SSNs and addresses of medicaid and chip recipients. they really don't want undocumented kids to receive care.

🧵 time so buckle up! So let’s talk about the claim that Muskrat made about SSA giving Social Security Numbers (SSNs) to noncitizens. To be clear, since he did not make this distinction, the chart he showed does NOT mean those people received benefits. The chart was specific to SSNs assigned via 1/?

Let's just stop pretending SSNs are secure identifiers pls

“Ruin his life” = deny him access to the SSNs of every person in the country?
February 7, 2025 at 5:07 PM
I'm looking forward to citizens getting their SSNs canceled "by mistake".

This is why we didn't buy the chalkboards that have a space for SSNs
What may have started as a wholesome family tradition could inadvertently tip off bad actors to personal details of your child's life and whereabouts. https://www.wfla.com/news/national/police-warn-back-to-school-photos-have-hidden-clues-for-predators-what-to-check-for/

a useful thing to ask is how specifically does a rule or regulation or order go from issuance to implementation. for instance, trump has said that he will issue an executive order denying birth certificates and SSNs to the children of undocumented immigrants. okay. what happens next?

and so the SSA would have to develop a new process requiring states to collect that information. in the meantime, it attempts to stop issuing SSNs may run into legal obstacles, including lawsuits from state AGs

a) why were they collecting SSNs

b) WHY DID IT TAKE 3 YEARS TO TELL PEOPLE

A new senate report is full of *shocking* details about DOGE activities inside the federal government. Including, unfortunately, the disturbing access that DOGE affiliates had to our SSNs:

"One whistleblower noted the possibility that the agency may need to re-issue SSNs to all who possess one."
Armed Guards and Muscle Milk: Senate Investigation Reveals DOGE Takeover Details
A new Senate report claims DOGE put every American's Social Security number at risk—and that officials at federal agencies essentially obstructed an investigation, all but denying DOGE even exists.

Giving access to SSNs, other data on government employees to non-employees like Musk is a violation of 5 USC 552a, and carries with it a penalty of $1000 per person whose data was accessed. We are building a case. Govt employees who want to participate should contact me directly

A detail that leaps out at me is DOGE getting access to the part of the system that manages the creation of SSNs. So now we can assume that the Russians, the Chinese and (probably) North Koreans can give their spies genuine SSNs, and so can any crime rings with deep enough pockets.

we are all going to need new SSNs and TINs by the time this over, every person and business in america

Dear Anna Paulina Luna,

The Enumeration Beyond Entry program, which issues SSNs to LEGAL noncitizens, was launched in 2017 UNDER DONALD TRUMP to streamline work authorization for eligible immigrants.

And a non-surprisingly large number of parents would include their kids' SSNs.
November 19, 2024 at 6:49 AM
How long will it be before they "accidentally" cancel citizens' SSNs?
April 10, 2025 at 10:25 PM
this may require new state laws, which may or may not pass depending on the state. the social security administration only issues new SSNs after receiving the relevant information from state agencies of vital records. the existing process does not require an SSN from the parents.
