Now that my wife's retiring from the military and we're settling down, we've picked a permanent residence and are preparing to downsize. And by quite a bit: the last few residences have been 2-car garage that didn't need to be used for parking and were at least nominally ~2k+ sqft.

I still use my Switch OLED regularly... also, the FlipGrip is awesome! I've had, and used it, since release. It's fantastic!!
Obviously doesn't work on Switch2, but the screen isn't as good--I'd rather play Shmups/STG's on the OLED anyway, with my preferred joycon replacement.

Went to see Harold Lloyd’s movie Safety Last as part of STG’s silent movie Monday program. I laughed OUT LOUD many times. Oh my god that movie is hilarious.

when one broaches the topic of the "decline of STG", one first has to ask "decline for whome?", but if you just want a straight yes/no, the answer's yes—that said, it doesn't mean STG's now innately unappealing so much ppls changing lifestyles are in opposition to some of STGs traditional strengths
