Reminds me when I worked in a pub in Bolton, UK, and we didn’t have a key for the disabled toilet so we’d use a steak knife we dubbed “the Salford Key”.
Respawn was cooking when they came up with the concept of the “Data Knife”, the knife that you stab into things to hack them.

An Iranian terror plot.
What We Are Letting Into Britain Is Already in Ireland
Sinne na Daoine Media _The people’s media network. *Breaking* local, national and international news._ Two Iranian men who arrived in Britain on small boats have been charged with preparing a bomb attack on Manchester’s Jewish community. That is the fact. The argument is simpler, and uglier: this is what we are letting in, and once they are in, the border with Ireland does not stop them either. Salam Ahmadyan, 36, of Liverpool, and Rahman Salehi, 34, of Salford, were arrested on 20 September 2026, the eve of Yom Kippur, and charged under section 5 of the Terrorism Act 2006. Prosecutors told Westminster Magistrates’ Court that the pair were directed by a third Iranian, assessed as operating inside Iran, who supplied instructions for a homemade device. The alleged particulars include a document on making a “powder chlorine and car brake oil/fluid bomb,” components and liquids, maps of targets, and reconnaissance of the Jewish Museum, a Jewish school in Salford, and Heaton Park synagogue, the same building where two worshippers were murdered on Yom Kippur 2025. They have been remanded to the Old Bailey. The immigration record does not depend on the verdict. Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood confirmed both crossed the Channel illegally, in 2020 and 2023. The court heard Salehi had already spent five years in the German asylum system, was granted asylum here in 2023, and holds leave until July 2028. Ahmadyan still has a live claim. One man was given the state’s protection. The other was left inside the system, free to move, while prosecutors say both were taking direction from Iran. That is not a screening failure discovered at the dock. It is the policy working as designed: arrive without permission from a safe European country, claim protection, and wait. Mahmood called the case a reminder of threats from terrorists and from the Iranian regime, which she said targets Jewish communities through proxies. She is right about the threat and wrong about the lesson she draws from it. The lesson is the door. A regime that uses criminal networks and cut-outs does not need a sophisticated insertion if a dinghy and an asylum interview will place its alleged assets in Salford and Liverpool. Farage warned in the spring that Iranians were among those crossing and dared the government to say he was wrong. These charges are not a census. They are proof that the route is available to the people police later have to arrest on the eve of the holiest day in the Jewish calendar. The Common Travel Area makes the admission a shared one. Free-movement rights belong to British and Irish citizens. In practice the land border has no routine checks, and internal journeys are lightly controlled. Irish figures reported this year suggest that in recent years the large majority of asylum claims in Ireland were not made at a port or airport; ministers have said more than 80 per cent were arriving across the Northern Ireland border. Britain has returned one person under the arrangement meant to manage this traffic. A man who lands in Kent is not confined to England. Manchester and Dublin sit on the same open corridor. Letting someone into one country is, for practical purposes, letting them into both. None of this requires the claim that every small-boat arrival is a terrorist. It requires admitting that the state cannot tell in advance which of them is, and has chosen to grant status, or leave claims open for years, while it finds out. The men in the dock will have a trial. The decision to take them in has already been made, and both countries are living with it. This article was originally published by SnDMedia.
