#ScaleFX
Fun Fact (SO FUN): DMD animations were causing 30-50 frame performance hit whenever they were very busy. For 3 hours, I scoured forum posts, Git pages, several .ini files, a couple registry additions and more only to find out I needed to uncheck this one graphics option. I am enjoying my pinball :3

I like smoothing shaders like ScaleFX, xBRZ in games with chunky colors, but they create weird banding on dithered graphics. So I always use Advanced AA now. You get to use the extra pixels your screen has but it maintains more detail than a regular anti-alias.

Super Metroid

- High frame count animations
- Gritty, grim, organic feel
- The 24x48 image that makes up Samus is used very effectively
- Looks amazing under SuperEagle and ScaleFX post-processing shaders

In the early days of emulators especially with snes9x the one thing I didnt look for was accuracy, i wanted to make it look super smooth with those filters like super Sai and scaleFX. Now the thought of using something like that horrifies me.

Is this just me?

I really like the way scalefx works on gba games. It's similar to those Minecraft upscale packs
