Joseph Scaliger was celebrated as Leiden’s “eagle in the clouds,” yet his claim to nobility—meant to secure authority and protection—drew bitter attacks. The distinguished lecturer poses a question of judgement: how do we reckon with the Scaligers’ legacy as scholars and impostors?

Julius Caesar Scaliger and his son Joseph Scaliger—giants of humanist scholarship, from the Poetices to ancient inscriptions—were entangled in forgery: the father invented a noble genealogy and the son defended it in a world where even illustrious learning could use a noble pedigree.

Tartaria, Mud Flood & Revelation Cover-Up: How Emperor Nero, Fomenko’s 700 Fake Years & the 1893 World’s Fair Hid a Destroyed Global Empire
Investigate the ultimate alternative history hypothesis uniting Emperor Nero's first-century cataclysm with the deliberate demolition of 19th-century World's Fairs, revealing how Anatoly Fomenko’s statistical anomalies, flawed radiocarbon dating, and the Scaliger timeline were weaponized to insert 700 fabricated years into the Middle Ages to obscure the Mud Flood and erase a highly advanced global civilization.

Marcus Manilius wrote a five-book astrological poem around AD 30 and was largely ignored for fourteen hundred years. Poggio Bracciolini found a copy near Konstanz in 1417 — and the scribe he hired botched it so badly it had to be divined, he said, rather than read.

5 Aug 1540: b. Joseph Justus Scaliger, chronologer, #Protestant, whose work deeply influenced Archbishop James Ussher's chronology and the latter's conclusion that the world was created in 4004BC. It seems odd now, but it was very fine textual and scholarly work for the period.

Counting the days.
All calendars are conventions and a compromise. The natural measures of time the day, the (lunar) month and the year are incommensurable, a long mathematical word meaning you can’t measure the one …

Top Guglia design made for Stonemachia. The building is a mix of Orvieto's Duomo, building in Venice and Pisa. Instead for the entrance I used Scaliger Tombs as references that I visited long time ago. In each area you can find three different bosses, even if the architecture is similar.

99 years after Fulvio's 1517 Illustrium Imagines, in 1616 Megiser 1554-1619 published a similar ''Bildnisvitenbücher' - compare images
