🧬 Schematron V2 Turbo (Inference net) just added: 128k tokens, open weights, and inference at $0.03 in / $0.15 out per 1M. A low-cost model worth tracking hourly.

I had long been trying to port libxml2 to #golang, but with some help from AI agents, now I have a fairly complete xml toolkit for Go: github.com/lestrrat-go/.... Supports XML parsing/DOM building, SAX, XPath 3.1, XSLT 3.0, XSD, etc. It's still alpha, but would love some feedback.

Schematron V2 Turbo (Inference net) is new and open-weight, with a 128k context window and $0.03/$0.15 per 1M tokens. That pricing puts it well under many closed rivals—worth checking what it actually does at that cost.

Published a #Schematron #XML validation #VSCode extension. Not official or anything, just a proof-of-concept side project. I'd love some feedback if folks are interested.

I was trying to build Schematron for Markdown with rust-like errors for agents

First project I used it on Claude used it to make the golden path the path of least resistance (which is the desired outcome)

I’m not sure yet if this is v smart or v stupid. Will let you know after the yak is shaved

Achieved conformance of XSLT3(84.8%), XSD1.0 (97.8%), XSD1.1 (100%), XPath3 (97.8%). XSLT3 is a little low b/c we don't support XSLT1.0/2.0 in back compat mode yet.

Schematron V2 Small just dropped with open weights and a 128k context. At $0.05 in/$0.23 out per 1M tokens, it's a cost-efficient option for long-context tasks. See how it stacks up:

At work, retrieving data files I need, I scrolled past a folder named "schematron." It would be a lie if I said I was not a little bit curious as to what was in there.

I mean, it ought to be, like, DTD schemas for XML files or something like that, but I'm hoping for something slightly nefarious.

I don't think we'd ever stop access to the guidelines, schemas, and associated software. But we need to encourage more memberships.

And since no one likes my silly idea...
github.com/TEIC/TEI/iss... open to other ideas.

Open to other suggestions. We will be upping membership rates.
Add schematron membership reminder to TEI element · Issue #2932 · TEIC/TEI
This is a tongue-in-cheek feature request. I'm not sure this is a good idea. In fact, I'm fairly convinced that it is a poor idea, but that other better ideas might arise when everyone shoots this ...

I love the framing of this: XML stack skills like XPath and Schematron allow you to evaluate and validate results from generative AI tools-- especially important given how quickly models are updated. Elisa and David are the best teaching team you could ask for!

Probably the intro logic course I took at the beginning of a phil minor. Majored in astronomy, ended up doing mostly programming work related to astro, and one day I realized that if statements in schematron kinda work more like ifs in propositional logic than ifs in programming.

Explained findings help. We keep a harder line too: format or Schematron PASS is not Peppol reachability, and a VIES or sanctions call that is unavailable must stay unavailable, not a guessed pass.

Schematron V2 Small (Inference net) ships open-weight with a 128k context and aggressive pricing—$0.05 in, $0.23 out per 1M—putting it well under many closed rivals. That cost-per-token edge is the real story here, not just the specs. 🧠

Corner 5 doesn't just receive data. It validates.

MoF FAQ: "Corner 5 will perform Schematron validation. If any issues are encountered, a message will be sent to Corner 2 and/or Corner 3."

Validation happens at C2, C3, AND C5. Three layers of checks.

Calculus gets you ready.
