I've read 20 SF novels since last #ScifiMonth so I'm jumping on today's challenge prompt to talk about my favourites: C Pam Zhang, Premee Mohamed, Nick Harkaway, Lauren Beukes and Mary Robinette Kowal steal the prize

Happy Sunday Womble! I’ve just started Ancillary Sword by Ann Leckie as we continue our @scifimonth.bsky.social read-along (every month is SciFiMonth, shh) and have just finished the delectable audio edition of Sarah Gailey’s Spread Me (narrated by Xe Sands)

2/10

Moving closer to the present, the Terra Ignota quartet by @adapalmer.bsky.social is one of the freshest and most monumental works of SF I've read. Imagine a polycule of Le Guin, Homer, Gene Wolfe, Jacqueline Carey and Foucault had a baby.

Don’t mind me, I’m just feedwhispering into the void in preparation for SciFiMonth
September 17, 2023 at 10:25 PM
It's October, which means it's only 30 more days until #ScifiMonth! Yes, our annual love-in of all things SFnal will be back - we're disorganised and may forget to pack our socks, but we're excited to blast off on November 1. Will you join us?
Get ready for ScifiMonth 2025
We're a little later than usual in pulling the dust covers off the good ship ScifiMonth, but there's no keeping a good crew grounded! We'll be back this November for our annual celebration of all things SFnal and we hope you'll join in the fun. We're keeping it low key this year, but we've got banners and a theme and a read-along brewing, and we'll see what else we can rustle up over the next 30 days.

Right, for day 2 of SciFiMonth we are doing the time warp - featuring a book from a previous SciFiMonth. I’ve picked the last Wayfarers novel by Becky Chambers - I didn’t manage to join the SciFiMonth readalong so this is still on my TBR
