A new study suggests the effects of AI depend on how it's used. When AI replaces thinking, people feel less ownership and connection to their work.

If one believes in the efficacy of protest, it would only help its efficacy to have a Harris administration instead of the Trump administration.

But if one *doesn’t* believe in the efficacy of protest and sees it as nothing more than self-expression, well,

Science denial, whether it’s climate change or efficacy of vaccines, hurts us all.
Climate impacts are real — denying this is self-defeating
The US administration is attempting to undermine efforts to curb greenhouse-gas emissions. It will ultimately leave that country, and the world, worse off.

Masking is not just an act of self-care, it is community care. When people do not mask, it forces vulnerable populations out of sight & into isolation.

We rely not only on the efficacy of our masks but the efficacy of yours, too.

That's not even pseudo-randomized. That's self-selecting observational research, which is vastly inferior to the evidence that already exists on vaccine efficacy and safety.

For the past 7 months, I have been struggling with post-op recovery, brain fog, and a general lack of (felt) self-efficacy.

I feel like I'm finally emerging from it all.

IMHO one of the hardest concepts for people worried about climate change to grasp is that fear-based messages alone are not enough to catalyze change at scale.

Fear wakes us up (EPPM, Witte 1992); but if we don't think we can do anything about it (self-efficacy, Bandera 1977), we will do nothing.

I hope there is a way to on some level assess its efficacy in turning people out, b/c I have a hunch it will be a success. You don't build a leaderless, movement of the people to self perpetuate. You build it to get something done. In this case, get people to reject the current administration (2/2)

I worked in pharmaceuticals, including FDA audits.
I can tell you if the FDA and EMA (Europe's version) weren't around periodically checking random things to ensure safety and efficacy, the company WOULD take shortcuts.
I would never trust a corporation to self regulate!

So yeah, you need the following:

• exposure
• desire/interest
• self efficacy
• persistence

Then learning happens.

Society has been undermining 3 of those regularly for a solid 20+ years.
